Reading Product Codes

Every product produced by the Village Company contains a stock keeping unit (sku) that appears both as a bar code and as a number beneath the bar.  For example, the sku for Mr. Bubble 16oz. Original Bubble Bath  is 3530329000. It is depicted on the back of the bottle. Each product also includes a manufacturing code that is printed on the bottom of the package during the production of the product. The manufacturing code depicts the date and time the product was produced, as well as other information that helps determine specific ingredients used in the manufacture of the product. It is there in case we need to trace the origin of the product.

Because our products are produced on a variety of manufacturing lines, the code varies by product. The sku number and manufacturing code are important pieces of information to have if you ever wish to contact us about one of our products. Below are directions for reading the manufacturing code on our various products:

For Mr. Bubble® Foam Soap the code reads as follows:
Code Template: YDDD/Batch Code
Code example: 9055/2671

Translation: February 22, 2009
(55th day of 2009), batch 2671

For Mr. Bubble Fizzy Bubble Bombs the code reads as follows:
Code Template: DDMYY
Code Example: 28C11

Translation: March 28, 2011
D= Day, M=Month (I is not used), Y=Year.

For all other Mr. Bubble products the code reads as follows:
Code Template: XXXMY  MMDDYYTTTT
Code Example: 120L8  1126080127

Translation: 120th batch of November, 2008. Three digits for the batch number, M=Month (I is not used), Y=Year.
